Day 5: Day of Rest

We stayed in Denver and just chilled with Caitlin for a day. This gave Nick a break from driving and me a chance to hang out with Caitlin. Win-win!

I had my first visitor to San Fransico! My dear friend Melinda came to see me, on a train from LA. She stayed for 5 days and we had so much fun. Luckily for me Melinda is laid back, because I am a horrible tour guide. I'm getting better, but I still don't know my way around the city that well. But we still had a lot of fun, and it was fun for me to explore the city with someone else.

Day 4: Little Day on the Prairie

Day four we drove through Kansas. We both enjoyed the open fields, bright sunny day, and all the leftover chicken to eat. Wonderful.

We had a lot of fun at rest stops.

Turns out, Nick does not like it when you throw snowballs at him, which did not stop me from doing it a few more times. And yet he still didn't leave me on the side of the road. What a guy!

These pictures do no justice to how beautiful it was driving into Denver that evening. But we made it to Denver! And then we spent the next hour parked in a giant van in front of a stranger's house, generally looking creepy and waiting for Caitlin's plane to land.
