More pumpkin!!

I had part of the weekend off, so I made some more pumpkin foods.

Cut in half.

Peel. Look at all the awesome pumpkin veins!!

Cube.

Meanwhile: toast some pumpkin seeds. Eat 'em whole. Add some black pepper. So good!!

Sauté some onions and garlic and spices or whatever. This is supposed to be curry, but feel free to add whatever you want. Mine was a little heavy on the Italian seasoning.

Looking pretty orange...

When you're done, it should be bright shades of orange and yellow and taste like heaven. Yuuuuummmmmmm.

*Use coconut cream milk. Much better.
*The boiling the seeds first is really essential.

I also made pumpkin spice muffins...

and sugar cookies. No pumpkin in them. But they had halloween colored sprinkles on sale! Who can resist black sprinkles?

Utah: Wind Tunnel

Last of the Utah pictures.
So as we neared the Arizona and Las Vegas borders, we started to drive through canyons. They were, of course, very beautiful and very, very windy.

This is where I started lying to Nick about how bad the wind was. Yah, it was pretty bad, but telling him that wasn't going to make driving a huge van in the wind any easier. Sorry, Nick.

Hey look, more snow!

I start to put glitter tattoos on Nick.

We finally make it to Vegas!!

I didn't take any pictures in Vegas. But we had a lovely night with Karl, and woke up early to get a head start on our next day-California!!

Pumpkin experiments

Usually October is the time when I continue my quest for the best pumpkin beer. But last year I found it (Captain Lawrence's Pumpkin Ale, as far as I know only available in New England). So, this year I'm trying as many pumpkin foods and recipes as I can.

These are SO GOOD!!! BUY THESE!!

I can't even believe how terrible this was. Vile. Un-drinkable.

Pumpkin Turkey Chili!!!

I know this sounds terrible, I almost didn't make it because it sounded horrible. But I was wrong! It was soooo good!!! And this is from someone who normally doesn't even like chili that much.

Here is my recipe. Clearly you should at least double the garlic. I would also reccomend adding carrots. Also I put a lot of other spices in.

On a different note, the grocery store I go to has been selling me an awful lot of two yolk eggs

It has been awesome.
