Day 2!!! So, while staying at Regents, it's kinda weird because Shelly and Karyn both have a full class load, and the building is set up in a weird way, in that they have swipe cards that are needed to get both in and out. So, that meant that me and Nick had to be off and on our way before their first classes every morning or else we couldn't get out at all. And then we had to stay out untill they were out of class. And then almost every night they had a show they had to go see for class, so with nothing else to do every evening and sick of walking after walking all day we also ended up seeing a play almost every night.

Karyn and I hanging out in the lounge in the AM.

Mark had to be at the airport that afternoon, so Nick and I wandered around the park and neighborhood with him untill he had to leave.

I love signs, notes, graffiti....

I found a friend just my size.

Tacky Christmas Decorations!!

The exhibit in the main hall right now. It was kinda interesting, but I couldn't really look at much of it becuase on of the pieces looked suspiciously like a giant spider. I had Nick scout it out for me, and then really tried to go in and look at it, but I could not do it. So I waited for Nick, who deemed it "Alright."

You can't take pictures of the artwork, which is sad, but here is the view from inside. That's St. Paul's right across the river.

You can't take pictures inside the rooms, but here is my sneaky attempt to show some of the stuff they have. That's Roy Lichtenstein in there!!!

...and that one futurism statue whose name I forget but I really love....in the same room!!

Ok, so I LOVE soviet posters. They are fascinating. I've sketched a lot of them for practice in art classes (my choice, not a teachers), and I like to use the layouts for t-shirts that I make my friends...I just love them. And the Tate had a Soviet poster exhibit. I walked into this room and told Nick he was gonna have to go see the rest of the museum without me and just come back. We had been kinda going off by ourselves, but staying in the same wing so that we wouldn't lose each other, but I was not kidding. He finished looking at the wing we were in, went to a new one, came back, and still had to wait for me before I reluctantly would leave. These are the pictures I managed to sneak when security wasn't looking. Look at how many posters there are!! They go all the way up to the ceiling!!

That one on the left says "Women workers, trust your rifles!"

Notice the people on the left? They're on the balcony. This place is huge.

We decide to make our way to St. Paul's.

Nick loves to lay on the ground to take pictures.

We stop for a long coffee/tea break. It was very much needed.

Camels!!! After coffee we headed towards the National Theatre to see about buying tickets for a show that night, but once we saw how pretty it was along the river at sunset we decided to take a very slight detour to enjoy it.

This is actually from Egypt.

This was interesting too, if you can read it. The scars they talk of are in the picture above this.

This is right in front of the National Theatre. This is why I love London, because they embrace new things. They thought it looked like a skate park, so they decided to make it one. And now it's a huge place that you can come and skate, instead of hanging out in parking lots or something, and it's leagal to do graffti there, and it's right next to theatres and restaurants so it's not in a shady area or anything. It's a great idea.

One of the tube stops.

So, the rest of our night included buying our show tickets (only 5 pounds for standing room at one of the best theatres in the world. Not too shabby.), going back to Regents to meet with Karyn, and grabbing some food at this amazing Japaneese noodle restaurant. (another thing I love about the Tube-Oyster Cards. They are great. First off, they tap instead of swipe and are very sturdy. Second, and what worked out great for me and Nick is that besides being able to buy things like a day pass, week pass, etc, you can also just put money on the card, and it will charge you per ride, but then when you hit the certain amount it will "Tap up" to a day pass or whatever. So, it charge like a pound seventy per ride, but once we had taken 4 rides that was the cost of a day pass, so it stopped charging us. But if we didn't take 4 rides in a day we hadn't wasted money on a day pass. It was brilliant!!) Then we we off the the National Theatre. More on that later, but these are some pics me and Nick took from the balcony there as we waited for the show.

Karyn took this of me reading a book in the student lounge- it's like I'm back at school!!

This is Karyn's friend Chris, who we hung out with and was a lot of fun. Apparently we just missed "No-Shave November" in which all the guys in that group of friends grew beards, but this was the last picture of Chris before he shaved. It made me miss my Webster friends, who once had a similar "September of the 'Stach", and various other competions and games.
